  1. NGC2023 is the famous "Horsehead
  2. Nebula" and is considered one of the
  3. best examples of a dark nebula. This is
  4. a cloud of gas which has no embedded
  5. stars and is in front of an illuminated
  6. patch. What we see then is the silhouette
  7. of the object instead of the object 
  8. itself. The Horsehead is a very 
  9. difficult object to see with the naked
  10. eye.
